St. Charles Borromeo holy medal -- Italian Catholic saint, born to a wealthy, noble family. He became a civil and canon lawyer. Was an abbot in many abbeys over the years, eventually being created a cardinal in 1560. Helped re-open the Council of Trent and participated in its sessions in 1562 & 1563. He was a very busy man! Teacher & confessor to Saint Aloysius Gonzaga.
