A holy medal of St. Aloysius Gonzaga (1568-1591). Memorial is June 21st.
Saint Aloysius was born to Italian nobility. He was a cousin of Saint Rudolph Acquaviva. He received his First Communion from Saint Charles Borromeo, and was a spiritual student of Saint Robert Bellarmine. Bed-ridden because of kidney disease, it was a blessing to him because he had more time to pray. He became a Jesuit novice and died while tending to plague victims in Rome.
The medal is Italian made.
