Some February Saints and Holy Days – chillypumpkinholymedals
Daughter of a pagan Scottish king and a Christian Pictish slave. She heard St. Patrick preach when she was a child and it had a great impact on her. She was very generous (giving her king father's things to the poor) and helpful (helping her aged mother in the dairy she was caring for). She started several convents and was the inventor of the double monastery, for both monks and nuns.
