Her parents were known as the Peacemakers of Jesus. She had an interest in religious life, but her parents betrothed her to an ill-tempered man. Additionally, her area of Italy was known for a revenge lifestyle, her husband was eventually murdered. After her sons died of illness, she entered the religious life.
