This listing is for a single holy medal of Our Lady of Lourdes with St. Bernadette (1844-1879) on the reverse.
The medal is Italian made.
2 styles - basically the same, but different
(1) the Bernadette image is facing more forward, with a thinner medal frame (ITALY stamp on the side)
(2) The Bernadette image is facing slightly sideways, with a thicker, more rounded medal frame. (ITALY stamp on the bottom)
St. Bernadette is the patron saint of ---- against illness and sickness, against poverty, shepherds, poor people, sick people, Lourdes, France. Her memorial is April 16th.
Our Lady of Lourdes, the Immaculate Conception, appeared to Bernadette in 1858 in Lourdes, France. A healing spring appeared there.
